The Love You Deserve

“We accept the love we think we deserve.” from The Perks of Being a Wallflower

Ecclesiastes croons, “There is a time for love.”
If you are indulging in an intimate friendship with a man who is not pursuing you, you are accepting a cheap imitation of love.
And by spending all your time with a guy who will never put a ring on your finger, you may miss a potential suitor.

What kind of Love that we truly deserve?

God is love. (1 John 4:8 NIV). God is love, and there’s nothing else that can come out from Him others than Love (for you). ga ada satu hal pun yg sifatnya jahat/ngga baik dalam diri Allah.
He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. (Matthew 5:45b NIV)

Long before he laid down earth’s foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the FOCUS of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. (Ephesians 1:4 MSG)

The days of my life all prepared before I’d even lived one day. (Psalm 139:16b MSG)

“How precious to me are your thoughts (or precious are your thoughts concerning me), God! How vast is the sum of them! Were I to count them, they would outnumber the grains of sand— when I awake, I am still with you. (Psalm 139:17-18 NIV)”

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life. (John 3:16 NLT)

I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for. (Jeremiah 29:10, 11 MSG)

He is our Solid Rock. Everything else in this world can be taken away from you, success, popularity, beauty, wealth, but the salvation and His love can never be taken away from us.

Can anything ever separate us from Christ’s love? Does it mean he no longer loves us if we have trouble or calamity, or are persecuted, or hungry, or destitute, or in danger, or threatened with death? (Romans 8:35 NLT)
